Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were a big hit at last night’s Golden Globes, aiming zingers at everyone from Taylor Swift to Ricky Gervais.
Fey, the creator of 30 Rock, and Poehler, who stars in Parks & Recreation, were presenting the annual awards bash for the first time. They took over from Gervais, who found himself on the receiving end this year. “Ricky Gervais couldn’t be here,” Fey noted, “because he’s no longer in show business”.
They also mocked Taylor Swift after her recent break-up from One Direction’s Harry Styles, with Fey warning: “You know what Taylor Swift, you stay away from Michael J Fox’s son.” Scroll down and click ‘play’ to watch the clip.
Meanwhile, Poehler referred to special guest Bill Clinton as “Hillary Clinton’s husband” and signed off by joking: “Good night! We’re going home with Jodie Foster!”

Last night’s Golden Globes saw Adele pick up the best original song award for her Bond theme ‘Skyfall’. Other winners included Daniel Day-Lewis, Jennifer Lawrence, Girls star Lena Dunham and Downton Abbey‘s Maggie Smith.
