James Bond ‘Skyfall’ will feel like ‘Goldfinger’

The film's producer promises a 'magical 1960s feel'

James Bond producer Michael G Wilson has likened Skyfall to the classic Goldfinger.

Wilson teased the forthcoming 23rd outing from 007, saying that it will have a “magical 1960s feel,” offering a “very special cinema-going experience.”

Speaking to The People, he said: “The director Sam Mendes and Daniel are taking it back to a ‘60s feel – more Sean Connery. I think that’s what the fans wanted.

“There’s a magical Goldfinger feel surrounding it all. It’s all very exciting. I can’t wait for people to see the movie because I think we’re making a very special Bond.”

He added that he is hoping to get all six screen Bond actors together for a special event to mark the film’s release and the franchise’s 50th anniversary next year. “We’d really like to get all six together. We’re trying to find a way for fans to celebrate with us because they’ve been the reason the Bond films have been the success that they have.”

Skyfall is due for release on October 26, 2012. You can watch footage from the press conference below.
