Jared Leto and Mark Ruffalo have revealed that they managed to sneak around New York Comic Con last week in disguise.
Both actors were able to pass unnoticed at the four-day event, which was attended by around 150,000 fans from October 6-9, because they hid their faces behind outlandish masks. Ruffalo, who plays Hulk in The Avengers, and Leto, who will portray the Joker in next year’s Suicide Squad movie, have since shared pictures of their disguises on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Leto’s Suicide Squad co-star Will Smith has recently revealed that he never spoke to Leto out of character while they were shooting the forthcoming super-villain movie. “We worked together for six months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!'” Smith recalled. “We’ve never said ‘Hello,’ we’ve never said ‘Good day.’ I’ve only ever spoken to him as Deadshot and him as the Joker.”
Director David Ayer shot Suicide Squad in Toronto from April to August of this year. Alongside Jared Leto as The Joker and Will Smith as Deadshot, the super-villain movie stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Adam Beach as Slipknot.
Joel Kinnaman bagged the role of Rick Flag after a scheduling clash forced Tom Hardy to pull out of the film. Ben Affleck’s Batman is also rumoured to be appearing in the film after a figure resembling the caped crusader was spotted on the film’s set in May.
