The Farrelly brothers-directed slapstick sequel is released December 19
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels deliver more slapstick laughs in the latest trailer for Dumb and Dumber To.
The comedy sequel directed by Bobby and Peter Farrelly will be released in cinemas December 19.
The film’s synopsis boasts Carrey and Daniels “took the physical comedy and kicked it in the nuts” with their first outing as dimwits Lloyd and Harry in 1994.
In the original film the pair played likeable halfwits who go on a cross country mission to return a suitcase of cash to its rightful owner. For their next adventure the Farrelly brothers “will take Lloyd and Harry on a road trip to find a child Harry never knew he had and the responsibility neither should ever, ever be given”.
The Farrelly brothers also worked with Carrey on the 2000 comedy Me, Myself and Irene. One of their biggest hits was the Ben Stiller, Cameron Diaz rom-com There’s Something About Mary.
Jim Carrey appeared in last year’s comic book sequel Kick Ass 2. Following shootings in America the actor chose not to support the film’s release and said via Twitter: “I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence.”
Dumb and Dumber To is released in the US November 14. Watch the trailer below.
