Johnny English Reborn has topped the UK box office on its opening weekend.
Rowan Atkinson‘s spoof spy sequel held off competition from the 3D re-release of The Lion King, taking almost £5 million.
Elsewhere, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy slips two places after occupying the number one spot for three weeks, while Twilight star Taylor Lautner’s new thriller Abduction falls to four.
Despite the success of the new Johnny English outing, Atkinson has said that his other iconic character Mr Bean would not be getting a similar revival because he wants the character to remain “ageless”.
