Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt to team up again for ‘True Story’

Duo will reunite after 'Moneyball' success

Jonah Hill is to work with Brad Pitt once more after collaborating on Moneyball.

The pair will meet again for True Story, a film based on the memoir of New York Times journalist Michael Finkel.

Finkel was fired from the New York Times in 2002, due to his fabricating a character in a story about child labourers in Africa. Days after the announcement, fugative murderer Christian Longo was arrested in Mexico and found to have been living as Finkel.

Longo decided that Finkel was the only journalist he would speak to, resulting in a surreal relationship between the two men. Longo saw Finkel as a means through which to prove his innocence. Finkel saw Longo as a way to regain his journalistic integrity.

Hill is to play the role of Finkel, with James Franco lined up to play Longo. It will be a chance for Hill to stray from the comic persona he has cultivated over the years, thanks to roles in Superbad and Get Him To The Greek.
