Based on the comic book The Secret Service by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar, the original Kingsman film starred Egerton, Firth, Michael Caine and Mark Strong as members of a secret spy society trying to thwart a megalomaniac billionaire (Samuel L Jackson) who is planning a mass genocide.

After opening in early 2015, it went on to rake in over $400 million (£260 million) at the global box office, becoming a surprise smash for 20th Century Fox. Kingsman 2, whose official title has yet to be announced, is scheduled for release on June 16, 2017.

Moore’s latest film Freeheld, an LGBT rights drama co-starring Ellen Page, opens in UK cinemas tomorrow (February 19).
