Keira Knightley and Klaxons‘ James Righton are expecting their first child.

The actress and the multi-instrumentalist tied the knot in May 2013 having become engaged around a year earlier. Following reports on gossip websites yesterday (December 11), a representative for Knightley has now confirmed that the 29-year-old actress is pregnant.

Meanwhile, the Golden Globe nominations announced yesterday (December 11) brought Knightley a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game, a biopic of World War II codebreaker Alan Turing. Knightley will compete against Meryl Streep, Patricia Arquette, Jessica Chastain and Emma Stone for the award, which will be announced on January 15.

Klaxons played their last ever UK gig on November 4 at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, having announced their split ten days earlier. “After what’s been nearly 9 bananas years we’d like to let you know that we’ve decided the upcoming dates will be our last headline tour,” the ‘Golden Skans’ band wrote on Twitter.
