Actress made her name playing 'Twilight' heroine Bella Swann between 2008 and 2012
Kristen Stewart has admitted that she would be “kind of fascinated” by a future reboot of Twilight.
The actress made her name playing Bella Swann in the original 2008 Twilight movie and reprised the role in four sequels released every year until 2012. Collectively, the five films grossed over $3.345 billion at the global box office.
Recalling her time working on the incredibly popular franchise, Stewart told Uproxx: “I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time.
“It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it,” she added. “But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it.”
Asked how she would feel if Hollywood attempted to cash in on Twilight‘s popularity again by rebooting the franchise, Stewart replied: “To be honest with you: I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”
Stewart’s latest film, American Ultra, an action comedy co-starring Jesse Eisenberg, opens in UK cinemas on August 28.
