Kristen Stewart to star with Ben Affleck in film about con artists?

The pair would play partners in crime in the new movie from the makers of 'Crazy, Stupid, Love.'

Kristen Stewart is being tapped to star in a new movie about con artists.

Titled Focus, the film centres on a veteran grifter who recruits an inexperienced girl to be his partner in crime. According to Variety, Stewart is “in talks” to play the female lead opposite Ben Affleck.

Focus is the latest project from writer-directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the duo behind Crazy, Stupid, Love. and I Love You Phillip Morris. At one point, the pair apparently envisioned their new film as a vehicle for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, with whom they worked on Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Kristen Stewart has recently begun a worldwide press tour for the final Twilight movie. Titled Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the film gets its UK red carpet premiere on November 14 before opening in cinemas on November 16. You can watch the latest trailer below.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck is riding high on the success of his new movie Argo. The political thriller, which Affleck directed and stars in, is considered a strong contender for next year’s Oscars.
