Warner Bros. reportedly putting Superman follow-up on fast track
The sequel to Man Of Steel has reportedly been fast-tracked by Warner Brothers Studios, with two of the major players already signed on to return.
According to Deadline, director Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300) and screenwriter David S Goyer (Batman Begins) are already in place to return for the follow-up to this summer’s blockbuster Superman movie. Goyer returns to the franchise as part of his three-movie deal, which also includes the film version of the Justice League, starring Superman alongside Batman.
A source also informed the website that The Dark Knight trilogy director Christopher Nolan’s role in the sequel won’t be as “full blown”. Nolan served as producer and story co-writer on Man Of Steel.
Man Of Steel opens in cinemas on June 14. British actor Henry Cavill stars in the lead role alongside Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Russell Crowe as his biological father Jor-El. Kevin Costner and Diane Lane appear as his adoptive parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent.
