‘Mission: Impossible’ beats ‘The Iron Lady’ at UK box office

The Tom Cruise blockbuster holds number one for another week

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol has held onto the top spot in the UK box office, beating The Iron Lady into submission.

In fact, the much-hyped Margaret Thatcher biopic narrowly missed out on the number two spot, edged into third by place by Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows by a little over £10,000.

The top five is completed by The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Alvin And The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.

Meanwhile, the hotly Oscar-tipped silent movie tribute The Artist moves into the top ten thanks to an expanded release for its second week, landing at number seven.
