The trailer features a track called ‘Roar’ composed especially for the film by Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, two-thirds of Swedish House Mafia. Predictably, it’s not a ballad.

Monsters University is Disney Pixar’s 3D computer-animated sequel to 2001’s Monsters, Inc. It’s set around 10 years earlier and follows Billy Crystal‘s Mike Wazowski as he heads to college and forges a potentially ruinous rivalry with John Goodman’s Sulley.

Crystal and Goodman also leant their voices to the 2001 movie, which grossed a massive $562 million (£364 million) worldwide. Steve Buscemi, Frank Oz and Charlie Day have all reprised their roles from Monsters, Inc too.

New additions to the voice cast include Helen Mirren, John Krasinski and Parks And Recreation star Aubrey Plaza. Meanwhile, US metal band Mastodon have matched the Swedish House Mafia duo by contributing their own original song to the soundtrack. Monsters University opens in UK cinemas on July 12.
