New Bond film: Anticipation builds as official title and cast announcement approaches

Anticipation is building as the title and cast of the 24th Bond film are to be revealed at 11am today (December 4).

Fans will be able to watch the announcement at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire live via a web stream at 007.com. The web stream will begin at 10.50am today and is expected to wrap up by around 11.15am.

Production on the 24th Bond film will then begin on Monday (December 8) at Pinewood Studios, with director Sam Mendes returning to shoot his follow-up to 2012’s Skyfall, the Bond franchise’s biggest hit ever.

The 24th Bond film will also mark Daniel Craig’s fourth outing as 007. He is expected to be joined by his Skyfall castmates Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Ralph Fiennes (M), Ben Whishaw (Q) and Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner).

It has been reported that double Oscar winner Christoph Waltz will appear in the film as a classic Bond villain, while Sherlock‘s Andrew Scott is also rumoured to be taking on a villainous role.

Other actors linked to the film – but not yet confirmed – include 12 Years A Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor, Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Dave Bautista and Blue Is the Warmest Colour actress Léa Seydoux.

The 24th Bond film is set for release in the UK on October 23 next year before opening in US cinemas a couple of weeks later on November 6.
