The clip, which shows Peter Parker swinging around the city and features a snippet of Hans Zimmer’s score, is the latest video to hype up the release of the web-slinging sequel, which will open in UK cinemas on April 18.

British actor Andrew Garfield will reprise his role as Peter Parker in the web-slinging sequel and Emma Stone will return as Gwen Stacy, while Jamie Foxx will play new villain Electro and Paul Giamatti is on board as the Rhino.

Classic nemesis The Green Goblin, meanwhile, as played by Dane DeHaan, will also feature in the film. Shailene Woodley had been due to appear as Mary Jane Watson, but her role has recently been cut from the film and MJ will now make her Amazing Spider-Man debut at a later date.

It was recently revealed that director Marc Webb, who has helmed The Amazing Spider-Man 2, will return to oversee a third installment in the franchise, although he has since confirmed that he will leave afterwards. A script has reportedly already been written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinker, and there are early plans to begin production on the picture this autumn with a scheduled UK release date of May 27, 2016.
