First part of Lars Von Trier's controversial film will open in March (2014)

A new trailer for the first volume of Lars Von Trier’s controversial Nymphomaniac has been revealed – scroll down and click to watch.

Although the clip is not as explicit as the first trailer released for the film in December last year and was decidedly NSFW, it still features a number of steamy scenes and sexual content. Nymphomaniac is set to open in two parts on March 21 and April 18, 2014, and traces the sexual progress of a woman, played by Charlotte Gainsbourg, from her youth to the age of 50.

Shia LaBeouf co-stars as a seedy office worker named Jerome, with the actor previously admitting that he had sent pictures of his own penis to the film’s producers to help him land the role, while Stacy Martin will star as a younger version of Gainsbourg’s leading character.

Alongside Gainsbourg and LaBeouf, von Trier has attracted a bumper ensemble cast for the project including Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman, Stellan Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe and Connie Nielsen.
