Jackman also says the film will have an exceptionally large cast
Hugh Jackman has revealed that the next X-Men movie will feature “an element of time travel”.
Last month (December 2012), director Bryan Singer confirmed that Jackman has officially joined his sequel, which is titled X Men: Days Of Future Past. Now Jackman has spoken out about the plot, telling the Daily Mail: “There’s an element of time travel and, naturally, it will be action-packed.”
Jackman also promised that the film will boast an exceptionally large cast. He teased: “You wouldn’t have enough room on the page after you’ve listed them all. Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it.”
Bryan Singer will begin shooting Days Of Future Past in April (2013). Back in November (2012), he made an unexpected casting announcement on Twitter, revealing that the film has roles for X-Men veterans Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen – as well as current stars James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.
However, Patrick Stewart has since claimed that “Bryan let the cat out of the bag on Twitter”. Speaking last month (December 2012), he insisted: “I know nothing about this project. [But] I’m hoping that might change in the future.”
