Patrick Stewart dresses as a lobster for Halloween and tweets photo

US comedian Rob Delaney brands Stewart's costume 'clawsome'

Patrick Stewart has revealed his unusual choice of Halloween costume.

The X-Men star ditched the standard vampire or zombie outfit this year in favour of dressing as a lobster – and shared a photo of himself on Twitter.

When American comedian Rob Delaney branded the costume “claw-some”, Stewart replied: “ahh dear man…don’t be shellfish.”

Earlier this year Stewart caused confusion when he told Twitter followers he had eaten his first slice of pizza at the age of 72. He later clarified his history with the cheesy dish, explaining he had eaten pizza before but never ordered “a slice” in the New York style.

Stewart will be returning as Professor Charles Xavier in next year’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The first trailer for the eagerly-anticipated superhero movie, set for release next May (2014), has recently been released and can be seen here.
