Screen Actors Guild Awards – The full winners list

Idris Elba snags two awards and Leo DiCaprio marches on towards his first Oscar

The 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last night (January 30). The annual awards gala sees film and TV’s brightest stars gather to honour the best work done by actors over the last 12 months.

This year, the judging panel have been praised for a perceived attempt to increase diversity among awards winners. The industry honoured four black actors including ‘Luther’ star Idris Elba – who won two awards for the acclaimed BBC TV show and Netflix film ‘Beasts Of No Nation’ – Viola Davis, Uzo Aduba and Queen Latifah.

Elsewhere, Leonardo DiCaprio continued his seemingly unstoppable march towards a maiden Oscar win by picking up an award for his leading role in Academy Award favourite ‘The Revenant’.
