Shia LaBeouf gave all his clothes to Kanye West – including his ‘Indiana Jones’ hat

"He took all my fucking clothes... The dude has a lot of my shit"

Shia LaBeouf has revealed that he once let Kanye West to raid his wardrobe, even allowing the rapper to take his Indiana Jones hat.

LaBeouf recently spoke to Esquire when he shared the anecdote.

West had previously namechecked LaBeouf in an outtake from ‘No More Parties In LA’, rapping: “I wish I dressed as fresh as Shia LaBeouf.”

The actor-turned-performance artist has now revealed that West once visited his home to discuss possible art collaborations, then proceeding to ask LaBeouf if he could take some of his clothes for a pop-up shop he was planning.

LaBeouf explained: “Around the same time, I took my mother to his concert. She is, of course, obsessed with Kanye West. When I brought her backstage, he was a fucking sweetheart to her. And it just felt fair. So I’m like, ‘Go for it, my guy. Take everything you want.’ And he did. He took all my fucking clothes.”

Last May, Kanye was photographed in the same hat that LaBeouf once owned. “The dude has a lot of my shit,” LaBeouf said, confirming that he gave West the hat he wore in 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

“Me and him haven’t really been in contact since he blew up onstage and, you know, shit on me,” LaBeouf added, referring to an incident in November 2016 where Kanye said during an infamous rant: “Shia LaBeouf: Kid Cudi feels a way. Call him.” LaBeouf had directed Kanye collaborator Kid Cudi in a music video and a short film a few years prior in 2011.

Asked if he’s tried to get in touch, LaBeouf replied: “Of course, bro. I fucking love Kanye West. He’s going through a lot. And I don’t know where he’s at or what he’s doing.”

LaBeouf stars as John McEnroe in the new tennis biopic Borg vs. McEnroe. “McEnroe was a master at his rage,” he told Esquire. “I’m a buffoon. My public outbursts are failures. They’re not strategic. They’re a struggling motherfucker showing his ass in front of the world.”
