Someone’s mashed up the trailer for ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ with Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’ and it’s incredible

The new edit continues the fan trend of setting huge film trailers to the hip-hop group's bombastic 1994 hit

The official trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been edited by one fan to include the Beastie Boys‘ track ‘Sabotage’ as the background music – check it out below.

The hotly-anticipated Star Wars anthology movie – which hits cinemas on May 25 – released its official teaser trailer earlier this month during the 2018 Super Bowl, with the clip showing glimpses of the likes of primary castmembers Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover in their respective roles as Tobias Beckett, Qi’ra and Lando Calrissian.

One Star Wars fan has now gone the extra mile in their dedication to the upcoming film by setting the aforementioned trailer to ‘Sabotage’, which featured on the Beastie Boys’ fourth album ‘Ill Communication’ back in 1994. Check it out below.

This isn’t the first time that a major movie trailer has been ‘soundtracked’ by the 1994 track – with fans also giving the Beastie Boys treatment to such films as Rogue One and The Jungle Book in past years.

Last month, Beastie Boys member Mike D announced that the band’s long-awaited memoir would be released in 2018.

“Like many things we embark on, there are many false starts and directions we went in that were not the directions we should be going in, but it’s going to be coming out in the fall of this year,” he remarked.
