Stan Lee confirms ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ cameo

Former Marvel Comics chairman admits he will make appearance in forthcoming movie

Stan Lee has confirmed that he filmed a cameo appearance in the forthcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy.

The former Marvel Comics chairman previously denied that he would appear in the movie, but relented and admitted that he has in fact shot scenes for the film, while speaking at the Chicago expo c2e2, reports Variety.

Asked by an audience member if he would be willing to film a cameo for the film, which opens in cinemas later this year, Lee replied: “I did, already.” However, he refused to divulge little else, continuing: “I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you I do not understand what it was or why I did it. It has me with a girl – a very pretty girl – that’s all I can tell you.”

Guardians Of The Galaxy boasts a bumper cast including Parks And Recreation actor Chris Pratt (pictured right), Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana and Vin Diesel. John C Reilly, Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro and WWE wrestler Dave Bautista also appear. Director James Gunn began shooting the film in July last year (2013).

It was reported recently that Marvel are already discussing a sequel to the film, which could potentially be released on May 6, 2016 – a date which has been reserved for an unannounced project by Marvel, and would come shortly after a Guardians Of The Galaxy cartoon series premieres on Disney XD in autumn 2015. Marvel, however, have not yet commented on the reports.
