Star Wars robot BB-8 bowed to Prince William and Prince Harry on the red carpet at the European premiere of The Last Jedi last night (December 12) – watch footage of the moment below.

The European premiere was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London last night, and saw the stars of the film meeting fans ahead of The Last Jedi‘s wide release tomorrow (December 14).

During the premiere, Princes William and Harry made their way down the red carpet to be greeted by BB-8, who features in the new film after making its debut in The Force Awakens.

The robot was then seen bowing to the Princes in footage you can see below.

William and Harry later spoke to members of The Last Jedi cast, including John Boyega, Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley.

BB-8 also had the pleasure of meeting Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke last weekend, with the frontman attending the LA premiere alongside Italian actress, and girlfriend, Dajana Roncione.

Director Rian Johnson dedicated the LA premiere to the late Carrie Fisher in a speech, reflecting on what he thought Fisher would be thinking if she was watching.

“I want to dedicate tonight to Carrie, who is up there right now flipping me the bird, saying, ‘Damn it Rian, don’t you dare make this night a solemn tribute,’” he said, adding: “So let’s all have a blast tonight for Carrie.”
