Featuring sections with Rey and Han Solo
Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ home release will feature seven deleted scenes.
However Disney have told the films editors to stop talking about the extra footage, so they can keep it as a surprise for fans.
Maryanna Brandon who edited the film told The Independent: “We have been talking about [the deleted scenes].
“But Disney has mentioned to us that – since they’re going to be on the DVD treats for viewers – we should stop talking about them.
“There aren’t a lot. There’s one with Harrison Ford, there’s one with Rey, but there aren’t a lot.”
“I think there are maybe seven or eight,” her editing partner Mary Jo Markey added. “I don’t know if that’s a lot. I remember looking at the reel. Actually, I think there are seven.”
The home release date for The Force Awakens has yet to be announced, but Star Wars spin off, Rogue One is expected in December 2016 and Star Wars Episode 8 will follow in December 2017.
