‘The Dark Knight Rises’ star Christian Bale likes dancing to LMFAO

Batman star Christian Bale says he enjoys singing and dancing to hits like 'Sexy And I Know It'

The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale has come out as an LMFAO fan.

The Batman actor was introduced to the oeuvre of the US pop-rap duo – known for their hits ‘Party Rock Anthem’, ‘Sexy And I Know It’ and ‘Sorry For Party Rocking’ – by his seven-year-old daughter, Emmeline.

Discussing how he and his daughter like to spend time together, Bale told The Mirror: “My daughter is crazy about art so we draw, paint and sculpt together. She’s just nuts about it. And she has me dancing and singing to songs I never imagined I would be dancing and singing to. One of her favourites is LMFAO so I’m even doing that.”

Bale also admitted that he sometimes slips into the Batman character at home to entertain his daughter’s friends. He explained: “It’s a kick for her and her friends when I do the Batman voice for them and chase them around pretending to be Batman. Although she loves me doing the Batman voice she still takes the piss out of my British accent. I think past a certain age you can’t get rid of it no matter what you do.”

Bale appears alongside Anne Hathaway‘s Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises and hailed the character as a role model for girls like his daughter. “We need more characters like her. We need more female figures who can kick butt and are intelligent as well,” he explained.

The Dark Knight Rises, the final instalment in director Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy, opens in the UK and US on Friday (July 20). Early reviews of the film have been overwhelmingly positive, with Hollywood trade magazine Variety predicting that “global box office domination awaits”.
