The movie starring Gal Gadot is set for release in summer 2017
The official first trailer for next year’s Wonder Woman movie has been released.
The trailer was revealed during Warner Bros’ panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego yesterday (July 23).
Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot as Diana – who first made her appearance as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice earlier this year – with Chris Pine playing pilot Steve Trevor, the trailer opens on Diana and Steve’s first meeting.
We’re then treated to all manner of action, including fighting in the trenches, in the streets and on the beaches on horseback, while Wonder Woman remains perfectly badass throughout.

The Wonder Woman movie has been in the works for close to two decades, with several stops and starts over the years, and Joss Whedon attached to direct at one point. Monster’s Patty Jenkins stepped in after Breaking Bad director Michelle MacLaren dropped out in April 2015. The film is set for release on June 23, 2017.
Wonder Woman, a warrior princess of the Amazons, made her DC Comics debut in 1941 and was famously played by Lynda Carter, a former Miss World USA, in a popular US TV series that ran from 1975 to 1979. An unseen pilot for a TV reboot was shot in 2011 but NBC decided not to order a full series.
