The film will be available to stream on Netflix on June 24
A new trailer for The Fundamentals of Caring starring Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez and Craig Roberts has been released.
Based on Jonathan Evison’s 2012 novel of the same name, the drama stars Paul Rudd as Ben, who becomes a first-time caregiver when he takes on an 18-year-old client with muscular dystrophy named Trevor (Craig Roberts). Selena Gomez plays hitchhiker Dot.
The film was bought by Netflix after becoming a surprise smash-hit at the recent Sundance Film Festival. It will be available to stream on Netflix on June 24.
Directed by Rob Burnett, The Fundamentals of Caring also stars Jennifer Ehle and Megan Ferguson. It’s the latest movie to join a new string of Netflix movies, which also include Brad Pitt’s War Machine.
Rudd recently made a cameo in Captain America: Civil War, stating that he felt like he was “10 years old” on the Marvel movie set.
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, Rudd said: “We shot Ant-Man – but I was alone in a bubble. All of a sudden I’m standing around seeing Robert Downey Jr in the Iron Man suit, and seeing Chris Evans.
“They’re all there. I’ve seen the movies. I felt like I was 10 years old. It was crazy. It was pretty cool!” Ant-Man enters Captain America: Civil War as thief-turned-hero Scott Lang for Civil War’s battle between Marvel’s heroes over the safety of humanity.
