Full cast assemble at San Diego Comic-Con to promote the eagerly-anticipated sequel

Director Bryan Singer has shared a photo of the massive cast of X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

The snap was taken over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, where the cast members took a break from filming to appear at a panel to promote the sequel, and shared by Singer on Twitter.

Singer, in spectacles, appears in the centre of the picture, joined by Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shaun Ashmore, Omar Sy and Evan Peters.

Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine also appears in the new X-Men movie, though the actor doesn’t appear in the photo. His spin-off film The Wolverine is set to open in cinemas on Wednesday (July 24) and you can watch the trailer below.

During the Comic-Con panel, Singer admitted that assembling the movie’s massive cast is a “a scheduling nightmare, a logistical nightmare, but I love big ensemble films. The more the merrier. The blend of these two casts is extremely unique”.

He began filming X-Men: Days Of Future Past in Montreal, Canada back in April and the shoot is set to last until at least September. Some of the action takes place in 1973, Singer has revealed, and time travel will be used as a major plot device. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas on July 18, 2014.
