PLEASE RELEASE ME, LET ME GO... Five Tickets
Or can Gabrielle or Gorillaz take the top spot instead?...
GABRIELLE, GORILLAZ, O TOWN and FIVE all release singles today in a bid to knock AFROMAN from the top of the UK single charts.
Afroman's single, 'Because I Got High', knocked Kylie Minogue from the top of the single charts yesterday (October 21), after four weeks.
Today (October 22), a host of new releases are looking for high chart placings by the end of the week. High-profile new releases come from Gabrielle, who releases 'Don't Need The Sun To Shine', Gorillaz, who release 'Rock The House', O Town, who release 'We Fit Together' and Five, who release their last ever single, 'Closer To Me'.
A chart expert at the Virgin Megastore in London told NME.COM that all four are likely Top Ten entries, but was unsure which, if any, would be capable of toppling Afroman.
She commented: "They all should do well, but we don't think any of those songs will necessarily be at Number One this weekend".
Other new releases today come from Kelis, with 'Young, Fresh N' New' and Par-T-One Vs INXS, who release 'I'm So Crazy'.
