Flaming Lips to take requests for festival appearance
Fans can decide what tracks they will play during set
The Flaming Lips have announced they will accept requests from fans in advance of their appearance at the Pitchfork Music Festival this summer.
The band will perform at the event in Chicago on July 19, and will take requests as part of a ‘Write The Night’ format adopted by the festival.
"The Lips are more than glad to be part of 'Write the Night', Wayne Coyne told Pitchfork. "They will do their best to accommodate the wildest and most obscure of request-- covers included."
Those who purchase tickets will be sent a link via email with instructions on how to vote for songs they wish to be included in the set. The voting closes June 12.
