Fleetwood Mac have revealed that they are hoping to release two new songs ahead of their comeback live shows in 2013.

The band, who yesterday (Dec 4) revealed a string of US tour dates for April and May next year, said in a new interview with Billboard that the band will release two songs.

Sharing her frustration with the current state of the music industry, singer Stevie Nicks said: "Whether or not we're gonna do any more [songs], we don't know because we're so completely bummed out with the state of the music industry and the fact that nobody even wants a full record," she said. "Everybody wants two songs, so we're going to give them two songs."

Nicks went on to inform fans that the songs could be available as soon as January: "We wanted to have something to put out before we go out, January or February, in whatever way you do that - iTunes or something. And since nobody really cares about albums anymore, if you can come up with two or three great songs and just put them out there...people can at least hear how we sound today when it comes to actually recording."

Song titles mooted for the new tracks include 'Sad Angela' and 'Miss Fantasy', tracks Nicks says "sound extremely young to me because when you keep working, things don't change."
