Mick Fleetwood on his Fleetwood Mac bandmates: 'We do actually love each other, for real'
Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood has spoken out ahead of the band's upcoming world tour, saying that the band members all "love each other".

Speaking to the Telegraph, he said:

The biggest misconception to me is that these people really don't like each other. That's the worst rumour about 'Rumours'. There's bands out there, usually a bunch of guys, who don’t give a ---- about each other. They just come to an arrangement. We can't do that!

He continued: "We're all ex-lovers, so we don't have that corporate, guy thing where it's just 'get the job done'. I think it bodes in our favour that, in a funny, shaky way, there is some integrity. We do actually love each other, for real. Unfortunately. 'Cause it's tough."

Fleetwood added that he's stopped asking Christine McVie – who left the band in 1998 – to rejoin. He said: "I've had to agree to stop asking her."

He also spoke about how he and the band's singer and songwriter Stevie Nicks – with whom he once had an affair - are very similar. "Me and Stevie are very similar, a couple of old drama queens who got into the whole drug thing. We were nuts, totally out of our minds at one point," he said.

Fleetwood Mac last released an album in 2003, 'Say You Will', but have revealed that they are writing new material. Lindsey Buckingham has said that the songs are sounding "great".

The band's tour starts in April, with UK and Ireland shows booked for September.

Fleetwood Mac will play:

Dublin O2 (September 20)
London O2 Arena (24)
Birmingham LG Arena (29)
Manchester Manchester Arena (October 1)
Glasgow The Hydro (3)
