Flight Of The Conchords’ Jemaine Clement to play ‘Men in Black III’ baddy

New Zealander confirmed to play 'Yaz'

Flight Of The ConchordsJemaine Clement has landed what seems his most unlikely role: a super-villian in Men in Black III.

The comedian – currently touring the UK with his co-star Bret McKenzie playing their novelty-folk hits – will play as alien named Yaz, according Deadline, although little else is known about his character.

The film – set to be filmed in 3D – will reunite Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith as the secret agents keeping a lid on alien activity on earth.

The plot will see agents Jay (Smith) and Kay (Jones) travelling back in time to solve an intergalactic menace, where they will also meet a young version of Kay (set to be played by Josh Brolin).

Etan Cohen, the writer of Tropic Thunder, penned the script that the studio Sony have decided to fast-track into production.

Clement – along with McKenzie – were offered a third series of their HBO musical sitcom, but they declined.
