Florence And The Machine's Florence Welch has said that she may well end up recording a "strange album" with singer Dev Hynes in the coming months.

Speaking to NME Radio in an interview which you can hear by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking, the singer, who has previously collaborated with Hynes on B-side 'Bird Song', revealed that she will be taking the former Test Icicles man out on tour later this year and said that they may record together on the trek.

She said of this: "Dev Hynes is going to come on tour with us, all around America and Australia and that'll be fun because we've been friends for years, so maybe something will come of that. We usually end up making some kind of strange album that will only exist on the internet."

Welch also spoke about the recording of her new album 'Ceremonials' and revealed that it was a much easier than the making of her debut album 'Lungs', which she said was "recorded under hot house conditions".

Asked about how the making of 'Ceremonials' compared with her debut, Welch said: "The first record was done under such hot house conditions. It was done after winning the Critics Choice award and with all the hype and press scrutiny when I don't think I was a full formed artist yet. I wasn't sure what music I was making, the band was in a state of flux and I think I had second album syndrome with the first album. With this one, I had a much clearer idea of what I wanted to do and where I wanted to do it. It came together easier."

Welch also spoke about how happy she was to hear that Beyonce had named her as an influence and said she had been listening to the former Destiny's Child singer's new record to try and pick out her music.

Asked how it felt to be an influence on Beyonce, she replied: "It's amazing. I was listening to '4' and trying to figure out where the influence might be, but it's incredible. She's a really wonderful person, it's a surreal thing to hear, but really nice."
