Florence And The Machine cover Icona Pop's 'I Love It' – watch

Florence Welch teamed up with Dev Hynes for a stripped back version of the track

Florence And The Machine frontwoman Florence Welch has covered Icona Pop's single 'I Love It'.

Welch's version of the track features piano accompaniment from Solange collaborator and Blood Orange man Dev Hynes. Click above to watch their version of the Swedish duo's song, which was recorded at the Human Rights Campaign Equality Rocks benefit last month in New York, via Spin.

Welch recently contributed a brand new song called 'Over The Love' to Jay-Z's official soundtrack to the The Great Gatsby which also featured The xx, Jack White, Lana Del Rey and Beyoncé.

It was also recently reported that Welch was being lined up for a role in the new Star Wars trilogy. The Sun said that studio executives were keen to make unexpected casting decisions rather than use established A-list actresses, and that Welch was being considered for a "major part" in the sci-fi franchise, which is being helmed by director JJ Abrams.

"She has done some acting but it was her singing on stage that initially caught the eye," said a source. "Almost every actress in Hollywood wants a role in the new movies but we are keen to cast people who are unexpected. Florence is being considered for a major part that would turn her into an A-list actress overnight."
