Flying Lotus: 'Thom Yorke doesn't bullshit'
Radiohead frontman appears on producer's new album 'Until The Quiet Comes'
The Radiohead frontman collaborated with the producer – real name Steve Ellison – on the track 'Electric Candyman' which features on his new album 'Until The Quiet Comes'.
"The thing about Thom is that he knows what he likes and I love that about him," he told Digital Spy. "He knows when things work and they don't. He doesn't bullshit in that way. He spends his time wisely. I wish I could say that about a lot more people."
Ellison also says he was up for remixing tracks from the last Radiohead album 'The King Of Limbs' until the band got a host of other people – including Jamie xx, SBTRKT, and Modeselektor - in to remix the tracks as well.
"I was into the idea until they got everybody to make remixes," he said. "When it became a thing, I was like, 'Nah, I'm cool. Let other people do it'."
'Until The Quiet Comes' is due for release on October 2. It is the follow-up to 2010's ' Cosmogramma'.
Earlier this month, Thom Yorke's other project, super-group Atoms For Peace released their first single, 'Default'. Yorke features in the group alongside longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and Red Hot Chili Pepper's Flea as well as drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco.
