Foals have announced a new UK and Ireland tour for April and May, plus details of the lead single from their forthcoming second album.

The band will kick off the 11-date gig run on April 29 in Liverpool, before releasing 'This Orient', the first single from second album 'Total Life Forever', on May 3.

'Total Life Forever' is set for release on May 10. Another new album song, 'Spanish Sahara', is set to be debuted tonight online. NME.COM will be streaming the song on the In The NME Office blog at NME.COM/blogs from 8pm.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am (GMT) on March 12.
