Foals announce UK and Ireland tour for 2013
Band will showcase material from their forthcoming third album 'Holy Fire'
Foals have announced details of a UK and Ireland tour for early 2013.
The band are already set to tour the UK later this month (November) and early December, but have now announced a string of additional dates for February and March 2013. Last week, the band announced a one-off show at London's Royal Albert Hall on March 28, 2013, which sold out in 15 minutes.
Earlier this month, Foals premiered the video for their new single 'Inhaler' on NME.COM – watch it below. The track is the first to be taken from the Oxford band's forthcoming third album 'Holy Fire', which is due for release in February 2013.
Speaking to NME previously about the LP, singer Yannis Philippakis said: "There are some heavier moments and some dirtier moments. It's swampy, some of the grooves are quite stinky. There's a track called 'My Number' that had a Curtis Mayfield groove which was pretty unashamedly funk, for want of a better word."
He added: "We've always been pretty rhythmically preoccupied, but once the four-on-the-floor, hi-hat, indie disco stuff's dead and buried with a chain of garlic around its neck, that feels like a really fertile place to go to."
Scroll down to watch a video of Foals performing a special acoustic session of 'Spanish Sahara'.
