Foals are set to talk with teenagers hoping to forge a career in the music industry as part of a new education drive in London later this year.

Teenagers in the capital will be able to get lessons in working in the music business from Foals and their manager Peter Mensch, whose clients also include Metallica and [/a]Muse[/a]. The workshop will be open to music students from the Islington and Haringey area and will take place at London's Royal Albert Hall. A live session from the band will follow the workshop.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Yannis Philippakis, lead singer of Foals, said: "I would have loved a similar opportunity when I was younger." Meanwhile, Peter Mensch added: "I tapped mentors for help and advice from day one — so I’ll be glad to spend my 60th birthday at the Royal Albert Hall talking to young people who want to do the same."

Foals will play two shows at Royal Albert Hall later this year, including an all-ages matinee performance, as part of their UK tour in support of their forthcoming third album, 'Holy Fire'.

Foals will play:

Dublin The Academy (February 28)
Manchester HMV Ritz (March 2)
Liverpool O2 Academy (March 4)
Glasgow O2 ABC (March 5)
Birmingham HMV Institute (March 6)
Norwich UEA (March 8)
Leeds Met Uni (March 9)
Bristol 02 Academy (March 11)
Nottingham Rock City (March 12)
Portsmouth Pyramid (March 13)
London Royal Albert Hall (March 28)
