Foals to headline Ibiza Rocks Closing Party

Jake Bugg and Example also lined up for summer gig series

Foals are set to headline the Ibiza Rocks Closing Party.

The band will take to the stage on the Balearic Islands on September 18. Speaking about the gig, singer Yannis Phillipakis says: "We've always wanted to go to an Ibiza closing party... and now we get to play one. Double bubble."

The 16-week long Ibiza Rocks and Mallorca Rocks season will kick off in Mallorca on June 4 and Ibiza on June 6 with Jake Bugg. Also confirmed is Example, who will play a stint of headline gigs in Mallorca on August 13 and Ibiza on August 14.

Meanwhile, Foals will play an intimate NME Awards Show at east London's 400-capacity XOYO on February 7. The gig will be a week before the release of their brand new third album 'Holy Fire' on February 11.

The 2013 NME Awards Shows take place in London throughout February and will also feature headline gigs from The Cribs, Everything Everything, Hurts, Tribes, Gabriel Bruce, Toy, Kodaline, Doldrums, Savages, Tim Burgess, Fiction, Fidlar and Jagwar Ma.
