Foals played a one-off date at London's XOYO last night (February 8) ahead of the release of 'Holy Fire', which is due out on Monday.

As part of this month's series of NME Awards shows, which also feature the likes of Hurts, The Cribs and Everything Everything, the Oxford quintet played a 60-minute set and debuted new material from their forthcoming release.

Before the band took to the stage, Foals also displayed an intricate, lengthy new laser show, which eventually phased out to the strains of album opener 'Prelude'. Foals then played a selection of material from across their three records, including 'Miami', 'My Number', 'Balloons' and an anarchic final 'Electric Bloom' - which saw frontman Yannis Philippakis dive into the crowd. The band also played forthcoming single 'Late Night' for the first time ahead of its release.

Shortly after finishing their main set, Foals re-emerged for a short encore of recent single 'Inhaler' and 'Two Steps Twice', during which the singer re-entered the crowd and scaled the bar at the back of the venue. After being handed a beer by the barman, Philippakis made his way back to the stage and closed the show.

Foals played:

'Prelude'
'Total Life Forever'
'Miami'
'Balloons'
'My Number'
'Blue Blood'
'Late Night'
'Providence'
'Spanish Sahara'
'Red Sox Pugie'
'Electric Bloom'
'Inhaler'
'Two Steps Twice'

Foals will release 'Holy Fire' on Monday, before embarking on a UK tour and winding up at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall on March 28.
