'Les Misérables – The Motion Picture Cast Recording' has prevented Foals from bagging their first ever Official UK Number One Album.

'Holy Fire', the Oxford band's third studio album, was the mid-week contender to score this week's Number One album but it was pipped to the post by less than 1,000 copies, according to the Official Charts Company.

However, by landing at Number Two, Foals have recorded their highest ever chart position. 'Holy Fire' beat 2008 debut album 'Antidotes' (3) and 2010's 'Total Life Forever' (8).

Emeli Sande's 'Our Version Of Events' is at Number Three, Jake Bugg's self-titled debut album is at Number Four and, following on from last week's Grammy success, Mumford & Sons 'Babel' is up twelve places to Number Five.

Elsewhere, Bullet For My Valentine grab this week's second highest new entry with 'Temper Temper' entering in at Number 11. Modestep are at Number 23 with 'Evolution Theory' and Tegan and Sara are at Number 38 with 'Heartthrob'.

In the Official UK Singles Chart, 23-year-old Swedish DJ Avicii celebrates his first UK Number One with his collaboration with Nicky Romero, 'I Could Be The One'. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' 'Thriftshop' is at Number Two, Baauer's 'Harlem Shake' is at Number Three, 'Stay' by Rihanna is at Number Four' and 'White Noise' by Disclosure featuring AlunaGeorge completes the Top 5.

Meanwhile, Foals 'My Number' is at Number 23 and Justin Timberlake's 8-minute-long track 'Mirrors' enters in at Number 28. The track is taken from his forthcoming album 'The 20/20 Experience'.
