Foals, Kraftwerk and Bloc Party have been announced as this year's Latitude Festival headliners.

The three bash-topping bands were announced earlier today. The festival will take place July 19-21 at Henham Park in Southwold, Suffolk. Festival boss Melvin Benn revealed the initial line-up live on Steve Lamacq's show on BBC Radio 6Music.

Bloc Party will headline the Obelisk Main Stage on the Friday, supporting the release of their fourth album '4'. In a coup for the festival, Kraftwerk will headline Saturday, with a 3D show that Benn described as "the best of what we saw at Tate Modern" in reference to their shows at the London art gallery earlier this year. Finally Sunday will see the debut major festival headline set from Foals, who recently released their acclaimed third album 'Holy Fire'.

The 6Music Stage will be headlined over the respective three days by Modest Mouse, Alt-J and Beach House.

Other musical attractions across the weekend include The Maccabees, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cat Power, Yo La Tengo, Willy Mason, Beth Orton, Villagers, Calexico, Daughter, Mark Lanegan, White Denim, Jessie Ware, James Blake, Swim Deep Chvrches and Laura Mvula

Cultural highlights will include comedy, poetry, theatre and dance from the likes of Dylan Moran, Tim Key, The National Theatre Of Wales with Neon Neon, Sadler's Wells, Daniel Kitson, Royal Exchange, Alan Moore, Mitch Jenkins, ICA Bowiefest, Germaine Greer, Michael Rosen and Carol Ann Duffy.
