Foals and Disclosure brought the second day of the Parklife Weekender in Heaton Park, Manchester to a close yesterday (June 8).

Headlining the main stage, Foals played a 75-minute set that spanned all three of their studio albums – the group also going as far back as 2007, when including 'Hummer' in their encore.

Introducing 'Providence', frontman Yannis Philippakis told the crowd, "We know it’s been raining this weekend, so this is your chance to get all that frustration and anger about it out", before tearing into Holy Fire single, 'Inhaler'. They finished up their encore with customary closer, 'Two Steps Twice'.

Meanwhile, over on the Wildlife stage, Disclosure played a near 90-minute set, closing with the Sam Smith-featuring 2012 single, 'Latch'.

Heavy rain was again predicted for much of the day; but – like the day before – the 60,000 revellers on site found themselves bathed in sunshine, with the only serious downpour coming during the end of Warpaint’s set on the Main Stage mid-afternoon. The Los Angeles four-piece played a mix of songs from both their full-length albums – as well as a live airing for the recently written track, 'No Way Out'.

In the Sounds From The Near Future tent, Jamie xx played under a huge disco glitterball, illuminating the huge crowd who had gathered to see him. He fared better than East India Youth on the same stage, who – playing early in the afternoon – saw a general power issue with the stage cause his equipment to cut out, bringing his set to a premature end.

Foals played:

'Prelude'
'Total Life Forever’
'Olympic Airwaves'
'My Number'
'Blue Blood'
'Balloons'
'Providence'
'Spanish Sahara'
'Red Socks Pugie'
'Late Night'
'Inhaler'
'Hummer'
'Two Steps Twice'
