This week's NME cover stars announce a unique one-off

Foo Fighters have announced a one-off acoustic show in London.

The band, who 2005 double album ‘In Your Honour’ featured an acoustic CD, will play the the Apollo Victoria Theatre on June 14, featuring a one-time-only multi-instrumental eight-piece line-up.

Joining the Foo Fighters core of Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett will be ‘In Your Honour’ guest players Petra Haden (violin) and Rami Jaffee (keyboards), as well as Drew Hester
(percussion) and former Foo Fighter Pat Smear (guitar).

The show will precede the Foo Fighters’ largest headlining show ever on Saturday June 17 at Hyde Park in central London. Having sold out the original 70,000 capacity, the band obtained the city's permission to expand the concert grounds by 15,000 to accommodate overwhelming demand.

The Foo Fighters will then headline Old Trafford Cricket Ground the following night (June 18) in Manchester.

The band are also headlining the Isle Of Wight festival on Saturday June 10.

Tickets for the acoustic show will go on sale tomorrow (May 31) at 10am, limited to two per person.
