Dave Grohl and co showcase new songs at The Fillmore
Foo Fighters performed a special intimate show in New York last night (September 20), debuting material from their brand new album ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace’.
Taking to the stage at The Fillmore in Irving Plaza, the band opened with new song ‘The Pretender’, as they used the show to showcase several new songs for the sweaty audience.
“You guys are kind of like our guinea pigs, I could play new stuff all night,” Dave Grohl told the crowd, before launching into ‘Monkey Wrench’.
Watched by a crowd that included actress Julia Stiles and cyclist Lance Armstrong, the band made their way through a hit-soaked set which included the likes of ‘Learn To Fly’, ‘Everlong’ and ‘Best Of You’.
When asked by an audience member during the encore to sign an autograph, Grohl joked: “I’m a little busy right now, I’m kind of in the middle of something.”
