Foo Fighters announce new US tour dates

They'll hit the road in January

Foo Fighters have announced the first shows of a full US tour, kicking off in January 2008.

The band played a number of low-key warm up shows earlier this year, including one at the Fillmore @ Irving Plaza in New York.

Joining the four-piece are Pat Smear on guitar, Rami Jaffee on keyboards and Jessie Greene on strings.

The tour will support the release of the band’s sixth album ‘Echoes Silence Patience And Grace’ which was released earlier this year.

The dates announced so far are:

Dallas TX American Airlines Center (January 23)
Memphis TN FedEx Forum (25)
Nashville TN Nashville Municipal Auditorium (26)
Worcester MA DCU Center (February 18)
Philadelphia PA Wachovia Spectrum (21)
Detroit MI Joe Louis Arena (24)
