Foo Fighters, Flaming Lips to honour The Who

Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and The Flaming Lips will pay tribute to The Who at a Los Angeles benefit this summer.

The bands are set to perform at the VHI Rock Honors charity event, which will take place at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on July 12. The event is scheduled to air on the cable television network July 17.

The evening will also include a performance by The Who's remaining members, Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey.

Proceeds from the event will benefit several charities including The Teenage Cancer Trust and The Who's Double O Charity.

Tickets for the show go on sale June 8 via Ticketmaster.
