A new magazine from the makers of NME about ex-Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is out soon.

NME Icons: Dave Grohl is out on Friday (February 4) priced at £4.99. It will be available from UK magazine retailers as well as online at NME.COM/store.

The 100-page magazine features an exclusive new interview with the 2011 NME Godlike Genius on the new Foos Fighters album, plus Josh Homme waxing lyrical about his Them Crooked Vultures bandmate.

It also tells the story of Grohl's rise from the Washington DC hardcore scene to front one of the biggest bands in the world, with iconic photos and classic features.

If you buy a ticket to the Foo Fighters-headlined NME Awards Big Gig, set for February 25 at London's Wembley Arena, you'll get a free copy.

See NME.COM/awards for details and for more about the Shockwave NME Awards, where Grohl will get his Godlike Genius gong at the February 23 ceremony in the capital.
