The album, Dave Grohl and co's seventh studio effort, has been uploaded to the band's official Soundcloud.com page. It's due to be officially released on April 11.

Produced by Garbage man Butch Vig, the album features Grohl's ex-Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic.

The frontman explained that he invited Novoselic to play on the album as he feels he has moved "out of the shadow" of Nirvana.

Foo Fighters are also due to release a covers album to celebrate Record Store Day on April 16.

Titled 'Medium Rare', the album will be released on vinyl in stores participating in the scheme and is due to feature covers of tracks by the likes of Pink Floyd, Prince and Paul McCartney and Wings tracks.
